Kristine D. Scott

Council Member, District 2, City of Rancho Cucamonga

Scott's campaigns reported raising $209,569 (2018–2026). $17,520 of it came from James L. Previti, one of his companies (such as FH II, his homebuilding company), or political groups that had reported receiving money from them. Those groups also reported spending $169 on their own supporting her.

How to read these figures. “Given” means a campaign contribution reported by the candidate's campaign. “Spent” means a group paid for its own mailers or ads supporting the candidate. “Previti-linked” means the money came from James L. Previti, one of his companies, or a political group that had reported receiving money from them.

Some of these groups had also reported receiving money from Industrial Integrity Solutions (IIS), Previti's marijuana (cannabis) company. Those amounts are marked with a leaf below.

$169.48spent separately by those groups (mailers, ads)

Previti-linked: $17,519.73 (8.4%) of $209,569 reported raised. Group spending is not in this bar.

Where the Previti-linked contributions came from

Each bar is a Previti company, Previti himself, or a group that had reported receiving Previti money. The small line under each name says what it is.

The marijuana (cannabis) company link

Of the amounts above, $9,870 in contributions came from groups after they, or a group that funded them, reported receiving money from Industrial Integrity Solutions (IIS), Previti's marijuana (cannabis) company: SB County GOP (San Bernardino County Republican Party) $9,870, which includes $3,969.73 in late contributions not yet reported as cash or in-kind. What these figures can and can't show. Committee funds are pooled, and filings do not show which dollars were passed on. The exact amount of marijuana money that reached any candidate can't be determined. The groups named here also had many other givers, who are not tied to Previti by being listed.

Statements for voters

  1. This council voted to keep marijuana dispensaries out of Rancho Cucamonga [S-309, S-310]. Yet Previti's marijuana company has given $717,200 to political groups since 2019, including $183,000 to the SB County GOP (San Bernardino County Republican Party) in 2026 and $20,000 to the Coalition for Better Government (a political committee) in 2022. Money from those groups then reached Kennedy, Hutchison, Scott and Stickler, both directly and through other campaigns. Marijuana stores stay out of our backyard, but marijuana-linked money makes it into their campaigns after passing through other groups. Who are the real NIMBYs?
  2. Once money goes into a political group's account, it's pooled with other donations, so no one can say exactly how many of the marijuana dollars reached each candidate. But routing money through a political party or a PAC doesn't change where it came from. The marijuana company's money went in, and the money to these candidates came out of the same accounts.

Ask them. Before you vote.
