Michael's campaigns reported raising $167,763 (2016–2026; no new contributions reported 2023–2026). $5,000 of it came from James L. Previti, one of his companies (such as FH II, his homebuilding company), or political groups that had reported receiving money from them. Those groups also reported spending $169 on their own supporting him.

How to read these figures. “Given” means a campaign contribution reported by the candidate's campaign. “Spent” means a group paid for its own mailers or ads supporting the candidate. “Previti-linked” means the money came from James L. Previti, one of his companies, or a political group that had reported receiving money from them.

No contributions to him were traced to Industrial Integrity Solutions (IIS), Previti's marijuana (cannabis) company; none of the committees IIS reported giving to appear among his listed donors.

Where the Previti-linked contributions came from

Each bar is a Previti company, Previti himself, or a group that had reported receiving Previti money. The small line under each name says what it is.

The marijuana (cannabis) company link

No contributions to Michael were traced to Industrial Integrity Solutions (IIS), Previti's marijuana (cannabis) company, described in a 2019 Pasadena cannabis permit application as managing a family of licensed cannabis businesses [S-020].

What these figures can and can't show. Committee funds are pooled, and filings do not show which dollars were passed on. The exact amount of marijuana money that reached any candidate can't be determined. The groups named here also had many other givers, who are not tied to Previti by being listed.

Statements for voters

  1. Previti's companies include a marijuana (cannabis) business, Industrial Integrity Solutions. That money is now part of Rancho Cucamonga's elections. Is this the money residents want funding their city?
  2. Once money goes into a political group's account, it's pooled with other donations, so no one can say exactly how many of the marijuana dollars reached each candidate. But routing money through a political party or a PAC doesn't change where it came from. The marijuana company's money went in, and the money to these candidates came out of the same accounts.

Ask them. Before you vote.
